The Lion King as a Poem

The Lion King

The circle of life is where it all begun

A story about all sorts of fun.

Mufasa the lion king wanted a son

He always knew his off spring would be number one

Soon came Simba in the glory days

A little lion cub, very set in his ways

What the future held, no one knew

Not even, the know it all bird, named Sazu

Everything seemed good and joyous and well

Little did they know they were about to face hell

Evil uncle scar wanted the royal family dead

With his plans, he decided to go ahead

Simba was now in trouble again

Mufasa left to save him, right there and then.

‘Long live the king” uncle Scar said

And all of a sudden Mufasa was dead

The Kingdom wept and cried all night

Scar felt like he had won the fight

With so much sadness and so much pain

Simba decided he would not reign

Simba left in the middle of the night

He was gone, out of sight

Scar took on the role of king

Darkness to the kingdom he did bring

But Simba now had found some friends

Timone and Pumba would be there till the end

Hakuna Matata was the way to be

Always feeling, oh so free

Simba grew up very fast

A lot of time had now passed

Simba knew he needed to go home

Timone and Pumba, said he would not be alone

When they got back they got such a fright

They could believe this horrible sight

Scar had brought darkness and fear

The light could not be seen anywhere near

Simba knew what needed to be done
he promised this time he would not run

Scar and Simba began to fight

Simba used all his might

Simba then thought of Mufasa his dad

And he began to get really mad

With one last blow Simba won the fight

And with that the future looked so bright.

Simba then became the king

And the narrator began to sing

Lion King
Simba

Take the Nearest animal and put it up in the air ... you know you want to
