Project 2 - Health and Hygiene - Wecesin Powder

Rationale 

In this project we were required to select either a healthy or hygiene product to produce adverts for. Thus in this project I created 3 adverts for Wecesin Powder in 3 different mediums – theses being 1. Print ad 2.radio ad 3. TV ad.


After brainstorming concepts and ideas related to this product I came up with the idea of the powder drying up things extremely fast in other words “Damn fast”. Thus I decided to use the concept of puns as not only does it require the viewer to think but so too does it add humour to the advert.


Furthermore the target market for these particular adverts is people who are active or in other words sporty people. In order to relate to my target market in all three adverts I have used different forms of activity weather it be skateboarding or fishing.
The reason for this particular target market is that these type of people are more likely to injure and cut themselves making them the most likely to use Wecesin Powder.


In terms of typography I decided to use a front which is bold yet simple. The reason for this being is that although the adverts convey a bold message ultimately Wecesin powder simply dries things up rather quickly.
In addition for advert one I have used bold colours as skateboarders are generally very outgoing and enthusiastic people- just like the colours used in the advert. In advert 3 I have used more subtle colours as fisherman tend to be quite quiet and not as outgoing – just like the colours.


Moreover these adverts fulfil the brief as they show a new approach on health products as well as attract a new target audience.
